July 4th Parade
Key Largo July 4th Parade
Our lodge entered our Christmas in July float in the annual July 4th Parade sponsored by the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce.
We held a members watch party in our Northbound parking lot and were joined by members of the American Legion Post #333, Islamorada Moose members and the residents from Oasis of the Keys center.
We opened early at 9:00am and served our July 4th brunch.
Activity at the Park
After the July 4th Parade, our team set up a table at the Key Largo Park to play games with the children and provide information about our July 25 Christmas in July Open House.
Won Best of Show Award
It snowed in Key Largo today!! We heard from a lot of local residents and parade watchers say that we had a great float. We sprayed snow while most floats sprayed the parade watchers with their water guns.
It was a great surprise to see that we won the Best of Show Award!
Our staff, board of officers, and members spent a lot of time and effort and our hard work paid off! It was a great honor for our team to win Best of Show!
Gearing up for our Christmas in July Open House
One of our goals in entering the parade was to announce our Christmas in July Open House event on July 25th!
This event is unique because it is open to the public, allowing our community to see our lodge, meet our members and see first hand what The Moose is about.
In addition to having a good time, we will raise funds for the local elementary school. There are 670 children registered and we'd like to help with their classroom holiday parties in December.
Christmas in July Open House
July 25th from 11:00am to 4:00pm
Children attending our Open House can play games and earn entries to win 1 of 2 filled toy boxes. Santa will choose the winners at 4:00pm.
